Social Anxiety Disorder - Eating and Drinking

Why won't some people eat or drink in front of others? What causes this social anxiety?

Some of these people are not even overweight

For instance, they'll say they're dying of thirst, so you give them something to drink, but they won't touch it. They'll say they never eat or drink in front of others.

I don�t know if it is a social anxiety disorder, but I don't like eating in front of other people for two reasons:
